MEDFORD, Ore. — Search crews from several agencies teamed up to help track down Carol Koon and the sheriff’s office enlisted several eyes in the sky to help.
Search and rescue teams asked the Civil Air Patrol and Brim Aviation to assist in the search. The Civil Air Patrol was moments away from taking off Monday morning when they received word the woman had been found.
They had been getting ready to fly over the search area with a plane equipped with a loudspeaker to call out to the missing woman. The Civil Air Patrol has used its planes in several other search efforts across Southern Oregon.
