House Fire In Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ore. – A family in Phoenix is out of their home after a fire. Fire fighters responded at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon to a structure fire on the 700 block of West First Street in Phoenix.

The fire was called in to 911 by neighbors who say they first smelled smoke then heard windows blowing out at the back of the house.

The fire was contained to one room but the house sustained heavy smoke damage. The cause of the fire has not been determined but there was a wood stove in the room. One of the residents of the home was in the front yard when the fire broke out. No one was injured.
