House Fire in Central Point

CaptureCENTRAL POINT, Ore. — Fire investigators are called back out to the scene hours after putting out a house fire in a Central Point home. Firefighters from District 3 got a second call at about 5:30 on Saturday morning to the same home with a roof fire first reported Friday night.

The first report of fire happened just after 7 p.m. Friday evening on the 5000 block of Seven Oaks Road. No one was in the house, but one of the homeowners was outside in a 5th-wheel trailer behind the house when the fire started. 16 fire fighters were able to get the fire out in about 20 minutes, but they said it may need extra attention.

Investigators say they don’t know exactly how the fire started, but say it looks like it sparked in the back of the house. The second fire scare from Saturday morning was put out. Fire investigators say they believe the house is a total loss.
