Hot, Sunny & Dry Weather Persists

High pressure remains stationary over our region meaning the hot, dry and sunny weather persists.  This will be the set up through the work week with gradual cooling through the weekend.  A cut-off low will start to move onshore over the weekend, as it approaches we’ll see increasing clouds and a few of the clouds that build over the weekend could bring some rain to the area.  It’s been over two months since we’ve seen rainfall, and three months since we’ve gotten over a tenth of an inch in a day!

Although Fall is just around the corner, remember that fire danger is still at ‘Extreme’ and with continued hot and dry weather, it is important to remember fire safety.  Air quality in our region remains good, while further north it ranges from ‘Moderate’ to ‘Hazardous’ due to the Pole Creek fire burning near Sisters.

Have a great Tuesday and stay cool out there!
