There is still no change in the forecast. We had a disturbance pass to our North today, bringing rain well to our North & East. The skies here though, remained clear. The only impacts from this system was cooler temperatures. Expect afternoon highs to begin warming up this next work week. An offshore flow is going to develop and the Chetco Effect will bring Brookings into the low 80’s Monday.
By Tuesday the thermal trough that develops to our south will shift east, bringing very warm conditions for the inland valleys. Afternoon temperatures are expected to climb into the low 90’s. This warm & dry weather pattern is going to be a threat for the “official start” to fire season beginning Monday.
Have a great week!
