MEDFORD, Ore. — Providence Medford Medical Center gathered supplies to help runners with cuts, scrapers and blisters at this weekend’s Wild Rogue Relay. The race is 200 miles through Southern Oregon, from Jacksonville to Gold Beach. The hospital will have nurses and physicians available near Red Lily Winery from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“Most of these racers should be in pretty good shape. That being said, it’s a team race, so sometimes someone may join a team who is not quite prepared for this length of a race and we would be the first place they’ll hit, if they realize they’re already in trouble,” James Watson with Providence.
The race starts at 5 a.m. on Friday at Applegate Lake.
