NEAR ROGUE RIVER, Ore. — A driver is on the run after rear-ending a car sending two people to the hospital.
It happened around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning in the southbound lanes of the I-5 near Rogue River. Oregon State Police says according to witnesses accounts, a white SUV sped up behind a car, rear-ending it.
Witnesses say that car spun out, hitting a van before running off the road and crashing into some trees. OSP says the driver who hit the car then took off.
“We put an attempt to locate; we’ve had troopers out on the road looking for a white SUV, we don’t have make, model or anything…we have front-end damage and unfortunately at this point we haven’t found it,” explained Oregon State Police Sgt. Jeff Proulx
Both people in that car were sent to the hospital. OSP says it appears their injuries are minor. The people inside the van were okay. If you have any information or see a white SUV with front-end damage contact OSP.
