Hit and Run Leads to Robbery Arrest

BrazilAronMEDFORD, Ore.– Reports of a bicycle hit and run, turned into a robbery arrest. Medford Police say they were called out to Corona Avenue and found a 43-year-old man with serious injuries, last Friday.

Police said a driver in a red Ford truck hit the bicyclist, then sprayed him with pepper spray, and stole a lottery ticket he just bought.

Police said they located the truck Monday. They questioned the owner, 18-year-old Aron Brazil, who admitted to the crime.

He is now facing charges for robbery, assault, and hit and run. He is being held in the Jackson County Jail on a $3,010,000 bail.

The unnamed victim was treated at providence hospital and is now recovering at home.
