MEDFORD, Ore. – Thousands of jobs will soon be coming to the Rogue Valley as Harry & David continues to bounce back from its struggles in 2010.
The company says it is adding close to 1,300 jobs in Southern Oregon for the upcoming holiday season. Many of those jobs will be based in Harry & David’s call center. The company says they want job seekers to know that a strong business year is opening up more jobs.
Harry & David estimates that it will add 13 hundred jobs in Medford this holiday season. The company seasonal hiring has always played a big role for holiday job seekers in the Rogue Valley; especially this year, as Harry and David bounces back from a difficult 2010.
Halloween is also scaring up some jobs. The Spirit Halloween store in Medford saw a hoard of job seekers for just 13 positions. The store’s manager says he began hearing from applicants weeks before the store opened this month.
Lithia Auto Group has also announced a hiring event of its own. On Wednesday, they will be taking applications for sales and service positions. That event will be held from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel.
