High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash

MEDFORD, Ore. — A man is arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase.

Medford police say close to midnight Wednesday, a man reported that his car was stolen. The same time an officer took the report, an Oregon State Police trooper spotted the car.

Officers deployed spikes near the Rogue Valley Mall that slowed the car down. The suspect led officers near Biddle and Morrow Road where he crashed the car.

“The investigation is still underway. The driver just needs to be checked out at this point. Nothing life threatening but we do want to get him up to the hospital, make sure that he’s cleared,” said Medford Police Sgt. Mark Boon.

Police are not sure if the driver was using drugs or alcohol.
