Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies to the coast and west side valleys with clouds increasing during the afternoon, especially along and east of the Cascades and Siskiyou county. There will be some weak instability Thursday afternoon in the later areas as well, this is just a slight chance with the best chance for any thunderstorms near the Mt Shasta area. Clouds will linger into Friday for all areas with a chance for isolated afternoon showers in the Cascades.
Just in time for Boatnik the sunshine will return with warm temperatures! Temperatures begin cooling Friday into next week with highs near 80 for Grants Pass on Saturday. The east side will see highs in the mid-70s for the holiday weekend with mid-60s at the coast. Memorial Day there is a chance for isolated morning showers at the coast, but I’m keeping inland areas dry for the time being.
Wednesday is my last night with Newswatch12 as I’m heading back home to San Diego to join the ABC station there doing morning and mid-day weather. It’s bittersweet leaving Oregon and it’s been my pleasure to bring the weather to you over the past two years. Thank you for welcoming me into your homes!
