CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — La Clinica is expanding its health services to Scenic Middle School in Central Point.  Starting Monday,  the health care facility will open five days a week during school hours, and services are available to any student or student’s siblings age 2-18.

It will be staffed with a nurse every day along with a nurse practitioner a couple times a week.  The facility will handle everything from bumps and bruises to check-ups and prescriptions.  This is the first time Scenic Middle School has had a health facility in more than 10 years.

“Previously, if students got sick or got injured, all the traffic came into the main office…our front desk folks are really good at taking care of kids, but this is definitely something that will help get those needs met,” said Brad Eaton, Scenic Middle School principal.

Parents or guardians will need to sign a consent form before their child can be seen at the clinic.  Those consent forms were mailed out.  They can also be picked up at the Scenic Middle School front office.
