CLATSOP CTY., Ore. — A health advisory is being issued for two coastal locations in Northern Oregon. Oregon Health Authority has issued two advisories for water contact at Seaside and Cannon beaches in Clatsop County.
The authority says higher-than-normal levels of bacteria were detected in the ocean waters. While these advisories are in effect at Seaside and Cannon beaches, officials say visitors should avoid wading in nearby creeks and stay clear of water runoff flowing into the ocean.
Officials also say the water should be avoided until the advisories are lifted.
