Scattered showers today with most staying at the coast and on the west side of the Cascades but a few pop up showers could show up on the east side. Most areas will be staying dry through the weekend with a slight chance for a few showers, still mainly at the coast. As we head into next week we’ll see temperatures climb to unseasonably warm before they drop again as a cold front moves through the area bringing in a good chance for rain for most of next week. Some areas could see heavier rain than we saw with this past system.
The National Weather Service in Medford will continue launching two extra weather balloons (four total) through tomorrow morning in hopes of better timing the trough moving across the country and it’s impacts on Hurricane Sandy’s path. Medford has not done anything like this in years so it will be exciting to see if their efforts here will help with forecasting the hurricane’s path.
