Halloween Safety Reminders

MEDFORD, Ore. — Not everyone will take part in Wednesday night’s trick or treating, but police say everyone needs to be aware of those who are taking part.

Medford Police will have extra patrols out Halloween night, looking for drunk drivers, but they say even sober drivers need to be aware of the extra pedestrians, especially because many of them will be children, who may not follow the rules of the road.

Medford Police say parents can help keep their children by safe by dressing them in bright colors and giving them a flashlight. They also say while finding tainted candy is rare, it is important parents look through their children’s candy.
