ROSEBURG, Ore. — It’s a true case of “let the buyer beware”. Homeowners of a newly purchased Douglas County home discovered two grenades on a counter while cleaning a garden shed Wednesday afternoon. They then contacted the Roseburg Police Department.
An elderly woman was reportedly the last person to live there, and her family sold the house and all of its contents when she died. The Oregon State Police Bomb Squad from Medford concluded that the grenades were inactive and took them away.
It’s unknown how long the grenades had been in the shed. Investigators say the Bomb Squad might investigate further.
