More than $1 million of repairs have been completed on the Bear Creek Greenway.
The Jackson County Parks Department says it has finished repairing cracks and re-paving areas of a seven-mile stretch of the greenway. The work had begun this past May, and some work still needs to be finished on a bridge near I-5 in Medford
The parks department says the work areas near Ashland, talent and Medford were some of the oldest portions of the trail and were beginning to show their age.
The parks department has also received a grant to install more signs, maps and information kiosks along the greenway. That work will begin this winter.
