GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A Grants Pass non-profit group is once again making holiday wreaths.
This is the 30th year for Greenleaf Industries and this year, they are expecting to make close to 1,800 wreaths, that’s a jump from almost 1,500 wreaths last year.
The materials to make the wreaths come from Douglas fir, Western Red Cedar and Noble Fir from Christmas tree growers from Oregon.
“30 years in the making we kind of customize things a little bit as we go. We’re getting a little better at making them. A little faster at making them and streamlining the shipping,” said Nick Smith, with Greenleaf Industries
25 people work on creating the wreaths at the nursery, which is primarily a bedding plant nursery that hires developmentally disabled adults.
The non-profit organization will continue making wreaths until mid-December. They are available for sale on Greanleaf Industries website and at their retail store on 150 Union Avenue in Grants Pass.
