Grass Fire Threatened Structures

GOLD HILL, Ore. — Emergency units responded to a grass fire that burned five acres and threatened structures off of Sams Valley Road and McDonough Road.

5 acres burned this afternoon in a control burn that got out of hand. According to fire district 3, the structures that were threatened but they are no longer in danger.

Crews did not ask for assistance from any other agency. The fire burned in area between Folin Cellars and Cliff Creek Winery on Sams Valley Road.
