GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Grants Pass High School is usually decked out in blue and white, but on Friday, the students added purple to the mix.

The high school set up a booth where students could donate money to the American Cancer Society and, as a visible sign of support, kids were wearing purple.

“I think that it’s near and dear to my heart and um in order to help them raise more money I think that every individual can make a difference,” said student Michaela Malos.

The event was in preparation for the Relay for Life coming up this summer.
