ASHLAND, Ore. – Ashland has been named the 2013 eCity of Oregon, ranking among America’s leading cities in the digital economy.
The eCity Awards, designated by Google, recognize the strongest online business community in each of the fifty states. The cities considered and selected are those that fully embrace the internet to find new customers, connect with existing clients and fuel their local economies.
A celebration will be held to recognize the city’s innovative businesses on Wednesday, August 14th at 1p.m. at Boulevard Coffee. State Representative Peter Buckley, Mayor John Stromberg and Google Public Affairs Manager, Darcy Nothnagle, will be there.
