MEDFORD, Ore. — Cars won’t be the only things avoiding traffic this week. Monday starts “Go by Bike” Week for Southern Oregon.
Officials say a record number of residents pledged to ride this year. According to the Go Rogue Valley Coalition, making trips by bike instead of a car keeps more money in the local economy and provides health benefits.
The coalition reports forty percent of trips in the nation are below two miles, but happening by car. They urge you to switch to a bicycle for those trips.
