NEAR MEDFORD, Ore. – A day camp that’s been used by Girl Scouts from across the Rogue Valley for 50 years will be closing next year.
Starting July 2013, Tomlin Park will no longer be used as Girl Scout property. It’s a 200-plus-acre area just three miles from downtown Medford, at the end of Hillcrest Road. The day camp will run through June 2013.
Also, Camp Low Echo at Lake of the Woods will no longer be used by Girl Scouts. Spokeswoman Sarah Knowler says Oregon Girl Scouts will look for other options for day camp and resident camping.
