MEDFORD, Ore. — For the west coast, including Alaska, and Hawaii, over 7 million people are expected to travel by car this Thanksgiving. If your getting behind the wheel, you’ll be facing some difficult weather conditions, but there will be one small up side: gas prices are down.
For the last four weeks, Oregon has seen double digit declines in the cost of fuel. The prices are continuing to drop each day. In the Medford-Ashland area, we’re paying an average of $3.51 a gallon.
Several stations are in the $3.40’s or $3.30’s. That’s down a penny from Tuesday and down a full 7 cents from last week. Compared to last Thanksgiving, drivers fueling up in the Medford-Ashland area will pay more than a quarter less for each gallon.
