Gas Leak Prompts Lockdown in Phoenix

BREAKING NEWS

PHOENIX, Ore. — A gas leak near Phoenix High School has prompted a lockdown this morning.

A 3″ diameter pipe burst from a home contstruction project directly across the street from the high school. The fire department did not evacuate the building because winds are not blowing in the direction of the school. Under the lockdown, individuals are not allowed to enter or leave the building.

Officials say the gas is an ignition risk, but not a inhalation risk. The leak can be smelt throughout the area though.
