GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Royal Family Kids is preparing for a fundraiser this Saturday and all of the proceeds will go to a new program to help children in foster care. For nearly 10 years, Royal Family Kids has provided a week long summer camp for local children in foster care. Now, the organization will expand the outreach and offer a full year mentoring program for those same kids. Organizers said the impact the program can have on the children in foster care can be life changing.
“It offers them life skills, it offers them self-esteem, it offers them hope for a better future than what they may have seen before,” said Allison McLain with Royal Family Kids.
Saturday’s event will fund the program and will include a meal, guest speakers and auction prizes donated by the local community.
