PHOENIX, Ore. — Veterans looking to file their taxes can have them done for free at two locations in the Rogue Valley.
Liberty Tax in Phoenix and Ashland will file tax returns for both military veterans and those currently active in the military. Liberty Tax officials say it is all about giving back to those who have defended our country’s freedom.
“We have nationwide promotions but we also feel it’s a good time to give back to the community, people who give to us. In the upcoming weeks we’ll have appreciation weeks for teachers, firefighters, and police also,” said Rod Radford of Liberty Tax.
The promotion for veterans begins Monday at the Phoenix and Ashland Liberty Tax locations. Also beginning Monday is a promotion for anyone who shares a last name with a president. From Washington to Obama, any matching last name will also receive free assistance with his or her taxes.
