VALE, Ore. – Lightning-induced flames across Southern Oregon have claimed another life this fire season.
The fourth fatality with Oregon connections occurred Saturday near Vale on the Grassy Mountain fire. Kevin Hall, a 59-year old bulldozer contractor, passed away while working for a contractor on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands 20 miles east of Rome, Oregon.
Hall was found unresponsive in his vehicle and declared deceased after CPR and additional life support efforts were administered. He worked for Brian McKinney as a lowboy driver and tender for the McKinney bulldozer, assigned to the Grassy Mountain fire.
