GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Four people were injured this morning in a two-vehicle traffic crash south of Grants Pass.
The crash happened at around 8:30 a.m., when an Oregon State Police trooper was flagged down by a passing motorist who reported the crash at the intersection of Highway 199 and Redwood Vista Lane near milepost 5.
Police say Michael Banister attempted to pull his Ford Explorer from Redwood Vista Lane across Highway 199 and collided with a station wagon heading southbound.
Passengers in both vehicles received minor to moderate injuries and were transported To Three Rivers Community Hospital. Michael Banister was not injured, but he was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
