Found Remains Under Investigation

YREKA, Calif. — The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office is investigating possible human remains found in the Scott Valley Area.

That investigation began on March 3 when remains were found North Kidder Creek Road. An evidence search of the area was conducted by the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s detectives, Siskiyou County Search and Rescue along with California Rescue Dog Association.

The bones will be sent to an outside anthropology lab where experts will examine them to determine what kind of identifying information can be found.
