Former Deputy Facing Additional Charges

KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore.– A former Lake County Deputy who turned himself in after being accused of having relations with a 17-year-old, is back behind bars.

Oregon State Police say 42-year-old Kenneth Turkle turned himself in Sunday, after being seen with 17-year-old Marriah Andrews on Friday. State police said her parents reported her missing and a warrant was issued for charges of sexual abuse and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor. Turkle turned himself in and then bailed himself out Sunday.

He was re-arrested later in the evening for charges of custodial interference in the first degree and tampering with a witness. He is currently in the Klamath County Jail awaiting a bail hearing on Wednesday.
