ASHLAND, Ore. – While the rain and snow could make travel difficult, it means good news for ski and snowboard lovers.
Although an open for Mt. Ashland and Mt. Shasta are not likely, several Oregon ski areas will be open in time for Thanksgiving.
Mount Bachelor will be open on Thanksgiving Day. The recent storm has brought more than a foot of snow, and is expected to bring more as the week continues.
Further north, Mount Hood’s Timberline Ski Area will open later Wednesday and Mount Hood Meadows announce they’re opening Thanksgiving Day with limited operations including Mt. Hood Express, Daisy, Easy Rider and Buttercup from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m.
