MEDFORD, Ore. — Less than 24 hours until the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens kickoff Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, and today grocery stores were packed with shoppers preparing for the big game.
Parking spaces at food for less in Medford were hard to come by and football fans could be seen stocking up on chips, salsa, hot dogs and soda. 49ner fan John Hoult says he is now ready to go for Sunday’s big game.
“Just getting a bunch of stuff from the store– chips, salsa, and stuff like that. Just having, kind of like a party, some in laws are coming over and some friends for the super bowl,” said Hoult.
Some shoppers said they hadn’t seen the grocery store so crowded since Thanksgiving.
