Foggy Fall Weekend

video preview image

A chance for morning fog across the region today and in the valleys through the weekend. A weak front passes through today bringing a chance for light showers this afternoon and evening, while most will hold off at the coast a few could make their way a bit further inland impacted the west side of the Cascades. Once the fog clears out tomorrow we’ll return mostly sunny skies to the region and dry conditions as high pressure settles over us. Due to the high pressure the National Weather Service has issued a air stagnation outlook for Saturday afternoon through Tuesday evening for much of the region as pollutants may be higher as they get stuck close to the surface. Those sensitive to pollutants may want to take extra precaution when heading outdoors.

We’ll see a warmer trend while high pressure remains present until the jet stream swoops down south of our area dropping temperatures and bringing us our next chance for rain and snow by midweek. Dear Megan, I am having a hard time finding the data showing year to date precipitation on the Oregon weather website. I know you often dictate what it is from time to time. Could you tell me where I can find this information as I need it monthly for irrigation reports.

    Thank you
