Fog, Smog, Low Clouds, & Mountain Sun

High pressure is building over Oregon, with the resulting valley fog, smog, pollution and higher elevation sunshine and warmer temperatures.  Inversions will keep colder air trapped in the valleys, and thus the resulting trapped vehicle, industry and wood burning pollutants.

The computer charts indicate that showers and mixing of the valley inversions will happen beginning Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

If you want to escape the cold and fog, the coastline will have sunshine and temperatures near or slightly above 60 the next couple of days.
