GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Spring flying lessons are starting up at the Josephine County Airport.
Flight courses as well as ground courses are being offered for anyone interested in getting their pilot’s license.
The ground school is starting up on March 29th. Flight instructors say people will learn basic rules, regulations, and navigation techniques.
“Its airplane science not rocket science so it’s a lot of hands on knowledge. It’s definitely very fun but it’s not as intimidating as some people think,” said Brett Hopper, the Flight Instructor of Pacific Aviation.
The Grants Pass Airport has been offering flying lessons for the past eight years. It is the only flight school in Southern Oregon.
