WHITE CITY, Ore. — Preparations are underway as Southern Oregon gears up to celebrate the Fourth of July.
It is also a time when veterans are honored, with memories of the men and women who fought to give us our freedom. On Thursday, flags were laid out at the VA Dom in White City.
Flags are also being placed from Highway 62 to the Eagle Point Cemetery, known as the Avenue of Flags.
More than 175 flags will be part of the display. They were each donated by Southern Oregon families after the funerals of fallen soldiers.
