ASHLAND, Ore. — Firefighters are battling more than just fires. With temps predicted in the triple digits, they are also battling the heat.

Ashland Fire and Fire District 3 say they are limiting their training and activities to the morning and evening, and staying inside and hydrating during the hottest part of the day.

Firefighters are drinking lots of water and Gatorade; they also have water coolers, ice and extra towels on their engines.
