NEAR GOLD HILL, Ore. – Officials want the public’s help in identifying individuals who they believed intentionally started a series of wildfires in Jackson County.
The four fires occurred in the Blackwell Hill and Gold Hill area and were likely human caused. The first several occurred around 5:00 p.m. on July 25th near Blackwell Hill Road and another took place on Monday, July 29th around 5:00 p.m. along Highway 234 near the Gold Hill Sports Park.
The Oregon Department of Forestry’s Southwest Oregon District is looking for more information. Please call 541-664-3328 if you can help identify the people or vehicle that started these fires.
