EAGLE POINT, Ore. — A two story home burned to the ground from an early morning fire and then spread causing a wildfire nearby.
The fire started around midnight near the 1900 block of Crowfoot Road in Eagle Point. By the time crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. ODF Forest Officials said it ended up spreading off the property and grew to about a quarter acre in size.
“The wildfire probably spread very shortly after the building got significantly involved,” stated officials. The details on how the house fire spread are still unknown.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause of it is under investigation.

This was my sisters house. They have lost everything, but thank heavens they were able to get out safely with only the pajamas on their backs. We are all scrambling this morning to get things gathered for them. You don’t realize how devastating a house fire is until it happens to your family.

Hi Bridget:
They are in desperate need of clothes. My niece is 6 and wears a size 8 in pants and shirts.
She wears a size 1 in shoes. My sister is a size 8 in pants, medium shirt and 8 1/2 shoe, and my brother-in-law is a 32/34 pant, 10 1/2 shoe and large shirt. We have managed to get some donations for Walmart gift cards, and some very generous people in the community. Anything you could do would be so appreciated.
Thank you,
Rene’
