GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Just after 9 p.m. Saturday night, crews responded to a third alarm fire at the Lock, Stock & Barrel store in Grants Pass on SW H street.
Crews from Rural Metro Fire, Applegate Fire District 9, Rogue River Fire and the Jackson County Structural Strike Team were among the agencies that assisted with the fire. The fire was in an older part of downtown Grants Pass and officials say both the size and complexity of the building added to the difficulty of putting out the fire.
“Several different businesses were in it, so in order to actually search and find the scene of the fire and extinguish it, we had to go into several different areas and it’s just a man power intensive task to do,” said Corp. Randy Delonge, with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Damage estimates to some of the businesses are still being made.
