MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Fire District 3 is investigating a vacant house fire that broke out around 5:40 Saturday morning.
Fire officials said it’s still unclear at this time if that fire is suspicious. Battalion Chief, Erin Sawall said crews will be doing a thorough investigation of the scene throughout the day Saturday. Currently, he said they know where the fire started, but they are still looking into why it started.
The vacant house is on the 1000 block of Easy Street in Medford. Fire crews say they were able to respond within three minutes of the 9-1-1 call, and put the fire out in a matter of minutes. The fire damage was isolated to the garage and attic.
“There was no power to this building so obviously we have an area that we are really consentrating on and looking for the actual cause in that area,” said Sawall.
Medford Police were on scene briefly. No one was injured in the fire. Anyone with information on the fire is urged to contact Medford Fire.
