Fire Crews Are Asking For Public’s Help

Fire Crews Are Asking For Public's HelpGRANTS PASS, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Forestry or ODF is looking for information about a vehicle that likely caused the Beacon Hill Fire. The fire burned grass and brush east of Grants Pass Friday afternoon. Officials say it all started between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m. in the area of Milepost 55 of the northbound lane of Interstate 5.

ODF is urging anyone who saw a vehicle that was throwing sparks during that period of time to call ODF’s Grants Pass Unit at (541)471-3883. Officials say a description of the vehicle’s color, type or any other information may help fire investigators to determine who caused the fire.

You have an error on this line. I believe you were suppose to put in the estimated acreage that was burned.

“The fire burned approximately grass and brush east of Grants Pass Friday afternoon.”

I appreciate you and your staff… you do a great job!
