NEAR BUTTE FALLS, Ore. — Around 1 p.m. on Sunday, the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) crews responded to a fire east of Butte Falls.
The fire started in a remote, wooded area on Bureau of Land Management grounds. ODF completed a fire line around the 32-acre blaze before sundown on Sunday.
ODF Spokesman Brian Ballou updates a blog with the latest on the fire. At the blog’s last update: “The fire has burned approximately 50 acres, is uncontained and its cause is under investigation.”
