MEDFORD, Ore. — Our holiday drive ends Friday and we are still short on toys. While we’ve received carts full of toys, there is still a need. Specifically, the Salvation Army says it needs toys for children under the age of 3 and for kids 11-12 years old.
These toys will go to some 3,000 local children. The Salvation Army says typically it has enough to give children a main present and two smaller gifts, but this year, it says some of the children may only get one gift and it will be the smaller donation.
The community has been answering the call for donations. A couple of local sports groups stepped up as well, including the So-Elite Dance Team and Southern Oregon Renegades. You only have one more day to donate. Drop a brand new toy or food item at one of the Fred Meyer Stores throughout Southern Oregon.
