MEDFORD, Ore. — The Festival of Trees may still be months away, but planning is already underway.
Volunteers are sketching tree designs, and coming up with fun activities for people of all ages.
New this year, a teddy bear hospital that medical professionals hope to inspire the next generation of healthcare providers.
“Kids can bring in their own teddy bears or purchase a teddy bear at the event, and then go through this process of x-raying the bear, diagnosing what is going on and treating it, it is really special, and it is thanks to a lot of creative people that this has come together,” said Katie Shepard, Executive Director of Providence Community Health Foundation.
Providence Medford Medical Center is currently looking for volunteers to help with the Festival of Trees.
Shepard said they need everything from entertainers to caterers, and even event volunteers.
