MEDFORD, Ore. — The Palliative Care Program at Providence Hospital is getting a big booth to help those diagnosed with chronic illnesses.
A holiday fundraiser helped bring in nearly a half-million dollars. The Providence Festival of Trees surpassed its fundraising goal this year, raising a little more than $487,000.
That money will be used by the Palliative Care Program to train clinicians and provide community outreach. Providence says its thankful for the support.
The event also raised more than $35,000 for the Swindells Resource Center, which helps families of children with special needs.
