FBI Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

US_Bank_Springfield_10-8-13SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — The FBI and Springfield Police Department are asking the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect in two separate bank robberies.

A man who appeared to be armed during a robbery Tuesday morning at the US Bank branch located at 1620 Mohawk Boulevard. The FBI says the man walked in, holding what appeared to be a long gun wrapped in a blanket. He approached the tellers’ desk, demanded cash, received cash, and left on foot.

The man involved in that robbery is believed to be the same person involved in a similar robbery on September 5th at a Bank of the West branch in Tualatin. The FBI says the suspect is believed to be wearing the same hooded jacket in both robberies, and the physical descriptions are almost identical.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a white man, who looks to be about 35 to 50 years old, 5’10” – 6’0″ in height and weighing around 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green and white plaid jacket with a gray hood and mirrored sunglasses

Anyone with information on either robbery is asked to call the FBI, the Springfield Police Department, or the Tualatin Police Department.
