FBI Release Crime Stats For Oregon

SALEM, Ore. — Newly released FBI statistics show violent crime incidences dropped in Oregon in 2011.

According to the report, violent crimes went down by 1.5% last year in Oregon, but property crimes increased by 2.5%. However, local Oregon police officials say, sometimes their numbers do not match up with what the FBI reports.

For instance, FBI stats show there were no murders in 2010 or 2011, while local police department numbers show there were homicides last year.
