CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — Detectives are investigating a fatal car crash in Central Point.
Central Point Police Department says the crash happened around 9:10 p.m. Saturday night on 4500 N. Pacific Highway. Police say the crash involved a single vehicle and a pedestrian.
Police and EMS workers attempted to save the pedestrian’s life; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased pedestrian was identified as 30-year-old Leif Eric Sword of Central Point.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the crash. The investigation is on-going, but Central Point Police say it does not appear icy roads or weather conditions were factors in the crash.
